About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing satellite components, sub-assemblies, and final vehicle assemblies in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components with emphasis on detail and quality.
  • Build and test solar modules and solar arrays.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify equipment requirements and process improvements.
  • Manage floor stock inventory.
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing.
  • Receive and coordinate shipments and deliveries.
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of hands-on work experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing production/assembly.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and work from engineering documentation or drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in fast-paced production environments with flight hardware.
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and Cleanroom requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $61,360/year in our lowest geographic market up to $75,920/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
