Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team in Portland, OR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedules as required by customers.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs on various systems, including air brakes, hydraulic brakes, cargo handling, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize key functions of the Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all service, safety, and environmental records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Non-commercial driver's license Class E preferred.
  • Two years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
