About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our medical staff, and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and urgent medical management to patients, including emergency stabilization and teaching of residents and medical students.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate medical and nursing care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical practices and research, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program.
  • License as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice, NCCPA Certified, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Medical Examiners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years' related working experience.
