Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications SUE Utility Locator to join our team at Terra Technologies, a Congruex company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for locating underground telecommunications fiber optic and copper cables to prevent damages for our client's facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to identify underground telecommunication utilities.
  • Indicate utility locates through the use of paint and flags.
  • Operate motor vehicles and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work in the public right of way under variable traffic conditions.
  • Wear personal protective equipment and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2-5 years of experience in underground utility locating
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Basic math skills to record field measurements
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and MVR screening
  • Ability to travel within the state of Florida and stay overnight with limited notice
  • Ability to travel out of state if needed
  • Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain in all types of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AT&T's wireline outside plant (OSP) facilities and records systems
  • Experience in all levels of utility designation (A, B, C, D)
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 Certified
