Position Summary: This position is centered around the coordination of mentorship and sign language education to effectively support our diverse programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and deliver mentoring services for families and students via the Community Outreach & Advocacy Department.
  • Provide sign language education for various CHS programs, including classes for community members, families, and corporate partners.
  • Revise and enhance the sign language education and mentoring curricula.
  • Oversee registration, enrollment, and data collection for surveys.
  • Engage in outreach and educational initiatives related to CHS programs.
  • Support the Community Outreach & Advocacy team as needed.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience serving the Deaf community with a solid understanding of available resources.
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), with a preference for ASL as the primary language, along with knowledge of Deaf culture.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with eligibility for agency-approved driving.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the core values of the organization.
  • A dedication to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
