Sign Language Education Specialist

Position Summary: This position is centered around the coordination of mentorship and sign language education to effectively support our diverse programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and deliver mentoring services for families and students via the Community Outreach & Advocacy Department.
- Provide sign language education for various CHS programs, including classes for community members, families, and corporate partners.
- Revise and enhance the sign language education and mentoring curricula.
- Oversee registration, enrollment, and data collection for surveys.
- Engage in outreach and educational initiatives related to CHS programs.
- Support the Community Outreach & Advocacy team as needed.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience serving the Deaf community with a solid understanding of available resources.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), with a preference for ASL as the primary language, along with knowledge of Deaf culture.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with eligibility for agency-approved driving.
- A demonstrated commitment to the core values of the organization.
- A dedication to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
