AdventHealth is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the nursing workforce by providing leadership in the development of staff education at the unit level.
Key Responsibilities- Incorporate principles of adult learning in planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs.
- Plan, prepare, and maintain materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
- Assist with students and practicing nurses to identify their learning needs, strengths, and opportunities and develop learning activities to grow skill set based on learning needs.
- Coordinate orientation of new staff, including agency staff, into the organization.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 years of in-patient nursing experience OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 years of in-patient nursing and 0-1 year education experience (hospital or academic) OR Master of Science in Nursing with 3 years of in-patient nursing experience AND 0 years of education experience.
- Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
- Current in American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS/NRP based on unit coverage (must obtain within 90 days of hire if required by unit).
