Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in PCU at AdventHealth Tampa

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at AdventHealth Tampa. As a PCU Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse in PCU will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. You will work closely with our patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
  • Integrate evidence-based practice and research findings into daily nursing practice
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of nursing
  • 1 year of experience in acute (Med/Surg or PCU) care
  • 1 year of experience in PCU level care
  • Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification AND
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification AND
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
