Automation Support Technician

Job Summary:

The Automation Support Technician is responsible for providing timely support to daily automation issues in the warehouse to maximize production uptime. This role requires a strong understanding of automation systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to daily automation issues in the warehouse, utilizing SCADA systems, HMI's, GUIs, and WMS to correct problems.
  • Perform area checks to identify faulty equipment and diagnose recurring automation issues.
  • Assist technicians with beginner-level tasks and document parts and repairs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team to ensure continuity and provide a best-in-class experience.
  • Continuously build knowledge and understanding of automation through training and observing upper-level technicians.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience.
  • A degree in Mechatronics or a related field (such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science).
  • Good customer service skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Intermediate-level skill with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to navigate and use the Warehouse Management system effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of HMIs and PLC control systems.
  • Ability to utilize and interpret blueprints, manuals, electrical line and schematic drawings.
