At Jefferson Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Imaging Associate/Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Radiologists and Technologists: Provide support to radiologists and technologists in the imaging department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that imaging procedures are conducted efficiently.
- Patient Care and Transportation: Transport patients to and from imaging areas, monitor patient support devices, and provide overall patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
- Stock and Supply Management: Inspect and replenish stock and linen in all patient care areas, ensuring adequate inventory of stock and non-stock supplies.
- Front Office and Film Room Support: Provide backup to the front office and film room staff, performing various tasks as assigned, including preparing examination rooms for procedures.
- Training and Development: Train new transporters/escorts in proper patient care techniques and procure patient documentation prior to leaving a nursing floor.
- Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent, with medical terminology knowledge preferred.
- Experience: Any combination of training and/or experience that will allow the incumbent to perform the listed duties, with previous medical office experience desired.
- Certifications: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson Health for employees working at our clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
