We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance/HVAC Technician to join our team at the Greater Latrobe School District. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems in our public buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVACR systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVACR systems, using technical knowledge and skills to resolve problems
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure seamless operation of building systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training and workshops as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by completion of an acceptable apprentice-level HVACR training program
  • 5+ years of progressively more responsible experience in air-conditioning or HVACR trade
  • Knowledge and skills in principles, practices, methods, techniques, materials, and tools pertinent to the HVACR trade and related installation, maintenance, and repair activities
