We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Rockstar Recruiting. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on various heavy equipment, including Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, and Refuse equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical repairs, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, and PDIs on a variety of heavy equipment.
- Efficiently communicate with the Service Writer and Parts team for optimal workflow.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area, shop tools, and service van.
- Heavy Duty Equipment or Transport Mechanic qualification.
- 2+ years of experience as a Certified Mechanic preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- CDL license preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Proficient in hydraulic and/or electrical work.
- Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, or Refuse equipment considered an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines in a busy environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and independently.
- A team player with a positive attitude, willing to assist others when required.
- Availability for daily road calls as needed to address customer needs.
