Event Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Events and Conference Tech Coordinator to oversee all Information Technology and Audio-visual aspects of events and conferences held at Passaic County Community College.
This is a part-time, hourly position that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning:
- Collaborate with College staff and event contacts to gather technical requirements for events.
- Develop technical specifications and floor plans for events.
- Oversee and provide technical support during events, including setup, operation, and breakdown.
Technical Oversight:
- Ensure the proper functioning of all audio, video, lighting, and other technical equipment used in events.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Maintain and inventory all AV equipment.
Team Management:
- Oversee and coordinate the work of AV technicians supporting events.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree required; bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical event production.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of theatrical lighting systems, digital mixers, sound reinforcement, and PA systems.
- Knowledge of Zoom presentation software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
