Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
- Maintain the upkeep and safety of the property, including performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Operate various equipment and tools, including forklifts, cart, electric, and hand-operated digging, demolition, and cleaning tools.
- Transport and handle building materials, supplies, equipment, filters, furniture, and gaming tables.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
- Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
We require a high school diploma or GED and general maintenance experience, preferably from a hotel. You must be able to work in an environment with exposure to second-hand smoke and high noise levels. Additionally, you must be able to maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
You will be required to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. You must also be able to work for prolonged periods of time, walking, standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling. Work will be performed in a fast-paced and busy environment, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various environmental factors.
