Inventory Management and Record Keeping
  • Ensuring optimal drug inventory levels are maintained
  • Conducting regular audits of controlled substances
  • Organizing and managing drug information resources within the pharmacy
Patient Engagement
  • Providing education to patients regarding their medications
  • Directing patients to appropriate healthcare providers when necessary
  • Delivering precise information to both patients and healthcare professionals
Communication and Collaboration
  • Participating in interdisciplinary case discussions and staff meetings
  • Contributing to committee work
  • Mentoring pharmacy students
  • Discussing potential side effects and drug interactions with patients
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and respectful treatment
Problem Solving and Initiative
  • Proposing enhancements to daily operations
  • Engaging in special projects as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND/

OR EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Graduation from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program with a Pharm. D, RpH, or equivalent qualification. A valid Maryland State Pharmacy License is mandatory.

Desired:
Certification in Medication Therapy Management; Board certification in Disease Management.

Desired:
Prior experience as a pharmacist in a busy retail environment, demonstrating attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
