Job Summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team in the Department of Pharmacy. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmacotherapy services to adult patients with gastrointestinal, sarcoma, and head and neck malignancies in the ambulatory care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on oral anticancer therapy
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology care team to monitor and manage side effects of oncologic therapies
  • Serve as a resource for the disease team on oral and infusion anticancer therapy, toxicity management, and drug information
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. degree or B.S. and 1 year of experience
  • PGY1 residency and PGY2 specialty residency in oncology with experience in hematologic malignancies preferred
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification required within two years of start date
  • Intravenous (IV) Certification and BLS certification required
