We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Planet Fitness. Key Responsibilities:- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing staff of Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
- Assist with staff management, providing backup support to the Club Manager as needed, and ensuring all shifts are regularly covered.
- Lead by example with involvement in all front desk-related activities, including greeting members and guests, answering phones, and facilitating member requests.
- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the club, ensuring the front desk area and lobby are clean and orderly.
- Assist in ordering supplies, tracking statistics and reports, and managing marketing efforts to ensure all staff are aware and trained on marketing promotions.
- Make daily bank deposits as needed and perform other duties as assigned based on club needs.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED equivalent.
- One year of customer service experience preferably in a similar gym or retail environment.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
- Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic, with a passion for health and fitness.
- Strong customer service and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and own reliable means of transportation.
