Sanitation Laborer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Laborer to join our team at PSSI. As a Sanitation Laborer, you will be responsible for performing sanitation labor by following the seven steps of sanitation while understanding and complying with all safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant
• Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op and any governmental oversight agency inspections that may be taking place
• Work and directly guide the assigned new team member through the four week set of training cards
• Ensure the new team members learns and understands the five qualification criteria of ERP (Safety, 7 steps of sanitation, chemicals, pace, and attendance)
• Provide necessary coaching and guidance of new team member to confirm understanding of training materials and comfort with sanitation process
• Guide and teach new team member through our necessary safety procedures and ensure trainer overlock LOTO is applied to confirm new team member safety during the sanitation process
• Attend weekly scheduled meetings pertaining to ERP
• Communicate directly with ERP Coordinator daily on progress and any concerns or issues that may need to be resolved regarding your assigned new team member
• Work cooperatively with PSSI management, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed
• Maintain open communications with all employees involved with ERP
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Accountable for his/her own actions, ability to take direction and instruction from managers, prompt and timely, safety awareness, attention to detail, ability to focus on tasks at hand, adaptability, communication with peers, strong work ethic, ability to wear personal protective equipment, ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations
• Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply
