About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ambulatory Services Representative to join our team at Children's Health. As a key member of our outpatient scheduling team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient and family experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough scheduling, registration, and financial process initiation for out-patient appointments within our ambulatory clinics.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring accurate information for the beginning process of the financial system.
  • Schedule patients with the most appropriate service and provider, resulting in high patient and provider satisfaction.
  • Manage work queues in Epic, review hospital services, and Hospital Account Record (HAR) accuracy.
  • Register donors and research participants, and review Daily Account Record (DAR) for Medicaid mismatches.
  • Obtain authorizations for admissions, liaise with access center, and facilitate diagnostic and ancillary scheduling.
  • Check patients in/out, make follow-up appointments, and prepare patient packets and schedules for upcoming activities.
  • Apply charges in the system to support clinic financial statistics, complete daily provider utilization grid, and warm call reminders.
  • Collect co-pay amounts from patient guardians, order supplies, and link/release patient orders in the system.
  • Complete and process consent forms, provide phone management support, and understand and perform to iCARE standards for customer service.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of customer service or outpatient-related scheduling experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
