Position Overview

Pangiam is looking for experienced Senior Full Stack JAVA/JEE Engineers for a long-term engagement focused on the modernization and upkeep of critical information systems, utilizing JAVA/JEE technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop JEE software applications.
  • Employ contemporary software engineering tools and practices, including Eclipse, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, and Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile development framework to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and refine solutions through demonstrations.
  • Present solutions during formal and informal design reviews, documenting designs in accordance with established system lifecycle methodologies.
Required Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and JSON (Required)
  • Experience with AWS (Required)
  • Familiarity with JQuery, Angular, React (Required)
  • Strong SQL skills (Required)
  • Knowledge of JEE Web Tier Technologies (Servlets, Struts, Spring MVC)
  • Experience with EJBs
  • Understanding of Web Services (SOAP and RESTful)
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with JEE Servers (Spring Boot, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.)
  • Familiarity with JMS
  • Database Connectivity (JDBC, JPA, Hibernate)
  • 8-10+ years of Java JEE experience (Required)
  • Experience in developing microservices.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to develop fully automated unit tests.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Capacity to thrive in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to an evolving data landscape.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convey information to diverse audiences with varying technical expertise.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, though applicable work experience may substitute for formal education.

Successful candidates may be subject to a security review and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required.
