Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Jacobs in Bingham Farms, Michigan. As a key member of our Geotechnics Group for the Midwest region, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from concept to construction, in highways, rail, water, environmental, ports, and advanced facilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical aspects associated with the design of shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and slope stabilizing measures.
  • Coordinate and generate geotechnical-based specifications and prepare data, baseline, and interpretative reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with exploration methods, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and laboratory testing of soil and rock.
  • Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses, such as SLIDE, SETTLE3, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, FB Multipier or Group, and GRLWEAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
