Position Overview
As a Project Management Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of maintenance and construction projects within the telecommunications sector. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to the construction and upkeep of facilities and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling project tasks in a logical sequence while budgeting time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Engage with supervisory personnel, clients, contractors, or design professionals to address and resolve issues related to work procedures, complaints, or construction challenges.
- Draft contracts and negotiate amendments, modifications, and additions to agreements with engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking documentation.
- Interpret and clarify plans and contract terms for administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the interests of the owner or developer.
- Implement strategies to manage the impact of delays, adverse weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Conduct inspections or reviews of projects to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other standards.
- Analyze job specifications to determine suitable construction methodologies.
Qualifications
- Preferred education or experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and relevant engineering software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
