Key Responsibilities:
The PBX Operator plays a crucial role in overseeing the switchboard operations, which includes answering incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate departments.
- Facilitates outgoing calls with operator assistance for staff members
- Reports any equipment malfunctions to the telephone service provider
- Responds to emergency code calls and communicates necessary information
- Manages petty cash and ensures cash drawer accuracy
- Welcomes visitors and addresses their inquiries
- Remains knowledgeable about emergency procedures
- Assists with data entry tasks and maintains file organization
- Provides support in training new staff members
- Completes additional duties as assigned by management
