Manufacturing Process Specialist

The primary objective of this position is to provide expert guidance and support to production in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring a work environment where coworkers have the necessary tools, training, and leadership to produce a high-quality product.
Key Responsibilities- Familiarize with, interpret, and understand customer specifications, data, and customer piece part drawings.
- Prepare and update written instructions to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Effectively communicate with customers and KMM personnel to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Conduct research to identify opportunities for process improvements in manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure processes operate at the optimal level, meeting supply needs while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with coworkers, including inspectors responsible for quality control and operators manufacturing product.
- Assist with management and updating of Engineering instructions and forms.
- Train and mentor KMM personnel on new assembly procedures and documented processes.
- Problem solve daily issues related to product specifications and conformity.
- Adhere to all KMM safety policies and practices, as well as manufacturer recommendations on operation of all equipment and tools.
- Assist with LEAN manufacturing by applying Lean principles and practices to improve processes.
- 2 years technical education or equivalent work experience with a demonstrated ability to perform required tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for process writing and communication with internal and external customers.
- Ability to multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and assist production requirements to ensure uninterrupted product flow.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of learning and different personality types of employees.
- Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and effectively communicate.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
- Ability to role model KMM core values, integrity, and accountability while representing KMM.
- Ability to perform critical evaluation of information in a fair and unbiased manner to make business decisions and recommendations.
