About the RoleAs a Civilian RN on our Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our military heroes and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Manage multiple types of central catheters, including PICCS, implanted ports, and tunneled catheters
- Administer and manage chemotherapy, as well as other medications
- Participate in rapid response and other tasks as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred, but not required
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a clinical nurse in a medical/surgical unit
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology or Bone Marrow transplant experience
- A structured environment with low patient ratios
- A team that consists of LVN's and Techs to work with
- No on-call shifts
