We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As an Occupational Therapy Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality rehabilitative services to patients with upper extremity diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Administer diagnostic testing and evaluations to assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Teach and supervise graduate Occupational Therapy students, fellows, and residents, providing specialty education and training.
- Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs as needed.
- Select and apply advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services, prioritizing patient needs and organizing care accordingly.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts, maintaining accurate and reliable records of patient procedures and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and inservices, contributing to relevant discussions and leading meetings as needed.
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- Five years of occupational therapy experience, including one year in the specialty field of hand therapy.
