Job Summary

The Claims Specialist role at Liberty Mutual Insurance involves managing an assigned caseload of claims from investigation to resolution. This includes assessing liability and compensability, evaluating losses, and negotiating settlements with claimants, policyholders, and third-party vendors. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate claims for liability and compensability
  • Determine and establish reserve requirements
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and third-party vendors
  • Collaborate with claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders to resolve claims
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in addition to 1-year claims handling experience
  • Knowledge of legal liability, insurance coverage, and medical terminology preferred
