At Energy Transfer, we are seeking a skilled Tubing Fitter to join our team in the assembly of compression equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in compression related assembly or field environments and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret shop notes, general arrangement diagrams, and process flow diagrams to assemble tubing lines according to specifications.
  • Mount and install end devices such as pumps, switches, transmitters, regulators, and level controllers.
  • Perform pneumatic and mechanical tests on assembled components to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Disassemble components to replace defective parts or prepare them for shipping.
  • Operate a variety of portable hand, electric, and air-powered tools, as well as stationary tools such as bench grinders and drill presses.
  • On occasion, operate lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and jib cranes.
  • Record serial numbers and other information as required in ITP (inspection test plan).
  • Report problems to line supervisors and actively participate in resolutions.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner and according to company safety procedures.
  • Effectively follow oral and written instructions and communicate them to others as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and workers.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in compression related assembly or field environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read tape measures and rulers in increments of 1/16.
  • Basic mathematic ability to add and subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
  • Familiarity with Safety and OSHA requirements.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety work boots.
