About the Role

Amergis is seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work with children and adults with special needs, providing educational and behavioral services and collaborating with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies
  • Provide crisis intervention and support students in developing independent daily living skills
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and supporting students across environments
  • Document session data accurately and efficiently, adhering to confidentiality requirements
  • Collect behavioral and academic data, and assist in developing plans to achieve behavioral and ABA goals
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray, and current health certificate
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
  • Computer proficiency required
