Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician/RVT

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team at ABC Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering outstanding health services to our furry patients and their owners.

Responsibilities:
  • Triage patients, taking vital signs and acquiring patient history and information from clients.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures, including lab work, radiographs, ultrasounds, and echocardiograms.
  • Discuss treatment plans, estimates, and payment options with clients.
  • Acquire blood samples and insert IV catheters, endotracheal tubes, and monitor anesthesia and ventilators.
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and diagnostic dental radiographs on canines and felines.
  • Operate autoclaves and maintain proper surgical sterilization techniques.
  • Process specimens in the in-house laboratory and submit specimens to outside laboratories.
  • Calculate medication dosages and provide dosage instructions for clients.
  • Enter patient service charges into the computer database and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Explain patient instructions to clients and share educational materials.
  • Assist in supervising and training other team members.
Requirements:
  • Veterinary Technology Certification preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a veterinary setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence and ability to restrain and interact with pets of all sizes.
