Fire Sprinkler Apprentice Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, modification, and maintenance of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and modification of fire sprinkler systems
  • Develop knowledge of fire sprinklers, fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, provide accurate documentation of performed work
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills and professional communication with customers
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to company safety policies and procedures
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good DMV record
Requirements

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Work Environment

This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The position requires climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as the ability to work in excess of 40 feet above the ground. Heavy equipment may be used, and the ability to lift weighty objects up to 50 lbs. above his/her head is required.

Compensation

$16-$20/hr to start, with raises given bi-annually during the apprentice program.
