POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory for both raw materials and finished products. This position is responsible for preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs), coordinating truck schedules, and managing customs documentation. The Specialist will support daily shipping operations for both domestic and international deliveries.

WORK HOURS

Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

CORE FUNCTIONS

- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits for incoming and outgoing shipments, addressing any discrepancies with relevant departments.

- Assist in the organization of year-end physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate labeling for effective visual management.

- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions to a supervisor.

- Prepare necessary documentation and liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) clients, including BOLs and shipment bookings.

- Understand and execute the daily responsibilities of the shipping department as required.

- Operate necessary equipment in accordance with safety protocols, following proper certification.

- Perform additional related and unrelated tasks as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

- A high school diploma is mandatory.

- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse-related role is essential.

- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with MRP systems is preferred.

- Experience with Sage 300 ERP system is an advantage.

Required Licenses

- Forklift certification is necessary, provided by the company upon hiring.

- Capable of interpreting diverse instructions and offering guidance and innovative solutions.

- Occasional travel to local sites may be required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is an Individual Contributor, functioning as a collaborative team member without oversight of others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position involves heavy work, requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Physical Activities

Key physical activities include climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

The role necessitates close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, and visual inspections.

Working Conditions

The worker will be exposed to various environmental conditions, including heat, noise, and potential hazards associated with a production and warehouse setting.
