Job Summary:

The LPN will work closely with our psychiatric nurse practitioner and registered nurses to provide holistic health care to our students. This includes monitoring health and wellness, providing crisis response and first aid, and collaborating with medical providers and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide holistic health care to students
  • Monitor health and wellness of students on a routine basis
  • Provide crisis response and first aid as needed
  • Collaborate with medical providers and families to ensure best possible outcomes for students
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor student vital signs
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to students
Requirements:
  • Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN working with children and adolescents
  • Experience in an educational or psychiatric setting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
Work Environment:

The LPN will work in a school/residential environment with a 2:1 student to staff ratio. The work will involve walking or standing to a significant degree, and the ability to navigate stairs and uneven pavement is required.
