We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our health and wellness team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality, student-centered care to our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to students, including administering medications, performing wound care, and conducting health assessments.
- Collaborate with the health and wellness team to develop and implement individualized care plans for students.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and provide first aid as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive school environment by promoting student well-being and safety.
- Graduation from a licensed practical nursing program and current licensure as a NYS LPN in good standing.
- A minimum of three years' experience as an LPN, with a preference for experience in pediatrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work within the scope of practice for an LPN, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Driver's license preferred.
- A competitive hourly rate of $45/hour, plus comprehensive benefits.
