Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As the direct point of contact for diverse clients, you will be responsible for managing ongoing assignments and contributing to specialized consulting projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation and review of federal tax returns for the company, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.
  • Review and manage deliverables from staff, including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for diverse entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, and Partnership).
  • File consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and related business filings with precision and timeliness.
  • Devise and execute strategic tax planning strategies for federal and state taxes, ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits.
  • Lead and supervise a tax team of 2 in preparing components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax-related documents.
  • Plan and organize the overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs within the tax team.
  • Implement effective control procedures across all tax-related processes.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, crafting responses and preparing schedules as needed.
  • Provide support for internal audits and specialized tax-related projects.
  • Conduct reviews of tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Mentor and guide tax team members to enhance their effectiveness and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in tax software.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
