Job Summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology-Ultrasound department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and obtain necessary medical history information.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging techniques, technologies, and best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or eligibility for registration within 12 months of hire.
  • Continued medical education and healthcare provider certification required.
