Job Summary

DMC Receiving Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Michigan, seeks a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams using state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • Registered in specialty within 12 months of employment
