As a key member of the FX division, you will be instrumental in mitigating Expedia's exposure to foreign currency fluctuations. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong interest in finance, enjoy analytical thinking, and are eager to explore global currency trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee foreign currency risk for a diverse FX hedge portfolio, including cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and net investment hedging.
- Identify and assess currency exposures, formulating effective hedge strategies.
- Engage with FX banking partners to facilitate transactions.
- Evaluate hedging performance, investigating any discrepancies or anomalies.
- Propose enhancements to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the cash management team to address global liquidity requirements.
- Work alongside internal departments such as accounting, tax, and legal to ensure cohesive operations.
- Assist with various Treasury projects and functions as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High integrity, initiative, motivation, and a curious mindset.
- Reliable, organized team player with excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional certifications such as MBA, CPA, CFA, or experience in the FX industry are advantageous.
The total cash compensation for this position in Seattle ranges from $82,500 to $115,000, with the potential to reach up to $132,000 based on sustained performance.
