Strategic Leader for Student Success

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as our Vice President for Student Affairs. This key member of our executive leadership team will provide strategic leadership to deliver responsive, equity, and student-centered services and programs that serve our diverse local communities.
Key Responsibilities- Shape an engaging student experience by directing a range of student-centered support services and leadership development initiatives.
- Provide leadership of Student Affairs, including planning, promoting, and assessing student support services.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of student information; recommend college policy and procedures.
- Coordinate interdepartmental and college-wide student support services initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic leadership and other campus departments to ensure integration of curricular and co-curricular support services, enhancing student retention, persistence, and achievement.
- Foster belonging and institutional pride and respond to student needs; direct program development for student engagement and retention.
- Provide executive oversight to college-wide initiatives, leading projects to enhance enrollment, student success, and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Provide effective intervention and resolution for students facing barriers to their success, serve as a member of the Crisis Management Team, and be responsible for student outreach, follow-up, and support surrounding student-related crises.
- Ensure areas of responsibility operate effectively within the policies and procedures of the College and applicable governing agencies as well as state and federal laws.
- Prepare and administer grants aligned with strategic planning goals.
- Plan, develop, and administer the annual budgets for functional areas within the Student Affairs division, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner with the President and members of the executive leadership team, collaborating closely to provide strategic leadership in college-wide operations and equity-centered strategic goal implementation.
- Advocate for enrollment management and student services initiatives and build relationships internally and externally that benefit these initiatives and the college.
- Participate in special projects that benefit the college or that respond to external constituent requests.
- Participate in professional development, affinity groups, and community service that reflects positively on the college.
- Provide leadership in planning and decision-making based on data, institutional research, and awareness of emerging technologies and trends.
- Manage and/or contribute to the annual and five-year comprehensive department assessment process.
