Job Summary:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Health Information Management Representative II to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical records, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process written and verbal requests for medical records in compliance with Fairview policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Retrieve and distribute paper, microfilm, and microfiche patient health records as needed.
  • Assist external care providers in accessing Fairview health records for urgent patient care.
  • Complete special projects as needed, and contribute to the process of collecting expected payment by ensuring health records are available in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in health information management or related field.
  • Two years of experience in an applicable health information management department, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems.
