Position Overview
The Biomedical Imaging and Data Science Lab (BIDSLab), led by Dr. Joyita Dutta within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is seeking a dedicated postdoctoral researcher with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research focused on signal processing and artificial intelligence (AI) applications for medical image enhancement, brain network analysis, and personal health monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze multimodal medical datasets, including images, graphs, and time series, to develop interpretable AI models aimed at improving human health and understanding diseases.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary research initiatives, partnering with clinicians and scientists from both academic and industrial backgrounds.
- Mentor and support graduate students within BIDSLab.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at academic conferences.
- Assist in enhancing the overall productivity and success of BIDSLab and the Biomedical Engineering department through various assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB, along with experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- A strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Excellent mathematical, programming, and communication skills.
