Job Title: Clinic CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Clinic CT Technologist to join our team in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate CT equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Obtain medical history from patients, compare requisitions to physicians' orders, and ensure exam accuracy.
  • Position patients, select proper scanning factors, and adjust factors to attain the appropriate images, while providing radiation protection and safety.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the physician, and assist in proper scanning techniques.
  • Post-process images as directed, accurately identify and label images, and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Identify equipment performance issues, perform quality assurance tests, and report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate staff.
  • Serve as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff, and assist with accreditation efforts.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Competent in IV and venipuncture.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
