Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including basic and intermediate imaging processing.
- Obtain medical history from patients and verify exam accuracy by comparing requisitions to physicians' orders.
- Position patients and select scanning factors to attain high-quality images, ensuring radiation safety and protection.
- Administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist and assist with scanning techniques.
- Post-process images and accurately identify and label them with patient information.
- Prepare and maintain records, entering patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
- No experience required.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
- Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and 20 lbs. over the head.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
