Job Title: Front of House Team Member

Overview:

Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk is seeking a Front of House Team Member to join our team. As a Front of House Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive experience in our restaurants and casino floor.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests as they enter our establishment and ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Take drink orders and serve guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front of house environment, including the restaurant and casino floor.
  • Assist with opening and closing tasks, including side work and cleaning duties.
  • Answer phones and schedule reservations for large parties.
  • Validate coupons and process payments.
  • Keep accurate records of guest interactions and server assignments.
  • Rewrite menu boards daily and for future meals.
  • Assist servers with bussing tables and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Operate registers, scanners, and credit card terminals.
  • Perform basic math functions to collect payments and distribute proper change.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawers.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Team player who looks for ways to help out other team members whenever needed.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and write English.
  • Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand.
  • Ability to read and understand information and instructions presented in writing.
  • Strong general mathematical skills.
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and continuously use hands.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
