Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Foreman to oversee the activities of a team of production workers and manage a machine shop at Advance Services Inc.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in production, manufacturing, or related fields, and possess strong leadership qualities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of production tools and equipment.

The Machine Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing the distribution of jobs to employees and workstations, delegating production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel, tracking new jobs, current jobs, and completed jobs, and maintaining a clean and organized shop.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for hiring and training employees, reading and inspecting parts per drawings, and ensuring the shop is equipped with the necessary tools and equipment, including CNC mills, CNC lathes, Tool & Die Area, Key mills, Punch Presses, Grinding Machines, and Plasma Table.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Lead and motivate a team of production workers to achieve high-quality results
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and meet customer needs
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of production activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
