Quality Control Manager I/II/Sr

The Quality Control Manager I/II/Sr will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction projects, acting as a field Quality Control Manager or Site Quality Control Representative for Federal Government agencies and other construction projects. This is a remote position with 75% travel for fieldwork assignments.
The ideal candidate will live in the Rocky Mountain region of the US and have a strong understanding of construction means and methods associated with government, commercial, and institutional buildings, mechanical systems, and site work.
The salary range for this position is $80,458/year-$134,638/year, and the position is a tiered position.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve detailed project/component-level plans.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other project personnel to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Build and maintain the submittal register.
- Prepare preconstruction submittals such as Written Quality Control Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Work Plans, etc.
- Proficient in the USACE 3-phase inspection process.
- Effectively communicate quality standards to team members.
- Chair and document weekly site QC meetings.
- Provide written daily QC reports.
- Verify QC conformance and address non-conformance issues.
- Create, update, and maintain project-specific quality control reports.
- Schedule and document required code and independent inspections.
- Ensure quality control testing is performed at the required frequency.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, or Construction Management.
- Current USACE CQM Certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods.
- High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, schedules, email, and other software used in the construction industry.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Experience with ICD-705, data centers, security measures, and construction of secure spaces on Federal installations.
- Current Government clearance.
- Current safety credentials include OSHA 30, 1st Aid, and CPR.
- Proficiency in RMS.
- Experience in both the Federal Government and Resources sectors.
- Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures.
- Self-motivated.
- Effective communication.
- Time management.
- Goal oriented.
- Accuracy.
Generally, indoors. While outdoors may be subject to construction site conditions, confined spaces, changes in temperature, weather conditions, and noise levels.
Physical DemandsFrequent sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. While in the field, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Work ScheduleMonday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or as needs dictate.
