Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
- Generate precise monthly financial statements and accounting reports in adherence to GAAP standards.
- Analyze financial data to summarize the organization’s financial status effectively.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile key accounts to maintain accurate records.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in the department's goal-setting process and provide valuable insights.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Review invoices against purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies.
- Investigate and address payment issues raised by vendors or purchasing agents.
- Ensure accounts payable are current and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Code data for input into the financial data processing system following company protocols.
- Assist employees, vendors, and clients with inquiries related to accounts and procedures.
- Manage vendor payments by verifying invoices and preparing payments.
- Ensure compliance with Sales & Use Tax regulations at state and local levels.
- Focus on payroll accounting, including the collection and reconciliation of time cards.
- Provide management reporting for payroll expenses and timecard data.
- Actively engage in audits, management reporting, and tax filings to meet deadlines.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve departmental processes through technology and efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software to enhance productivity.
- Familiarity with Global Shop ERP system and Paylocity is preferred.
- Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the US.
