Overview

StoneCrest Center, a leading provider of inpatient behavioral healthcare in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist to join our medical staff. As a Child Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our treatment programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless interactions with physician staff.
  • Develop and implement protocols for medical and clinical care, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor professional clinical staff, as well as administrative or support staff, to ensure optimal performance and patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and supervise assigned staff to ensure adherence to medical and clinical policies.
  • Provide backup call coverage and participate in teaching and training activities to develop the skills of other personnel.
  • Secure physical exams and histories from patients, request diagnostic testing, and prescribe medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Assist in managing behavioral or mental health problems of patients and maintain accurate clinical medical records in accordance with federal or state regulations and industry practices.
  • Manage facility finances, including budgets, billing, and spending, to ensure optimal revenue and resource allocation.
  • Develop organizational goals and objectives, devise strategies and policies to meet those goals, and implement and update general policies, protocols, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry required.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Director preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine by the state in which the facility operates.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
