Job Summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Operator to join our team. As a Computer Systems Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Navy Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the TCTS system, including the Radar Acquisition Display System (RADS), Joint Debriefing Subsystem (JDS), Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (ICADS), and the Radio Interface Computer (RIC).
  • Receive and input pre-mission data from participating squadrons into the Mission Line Up computer.
  • Interact with Mission Coordinator and squadron operations personnel to ensure timely receipt of data.
  • Verify all information received from the squadron is accurate and input into the mission display system.
  • Ensure all aircraft are tracking properly during the mission.
  • Work with voice communications technicians to ensure good radio transmit and receive.
  • Assist Air Intercept Controllers and Range Training Officers with operating mission system computers as needed.
  • Document aircraft tracking anomalies and report them to the appropriate parties using the Pod Gripe Process.
  • Set up mission replays for aircrew debriefing and enter mission data into the Range Information Management System (RIMS).
  • Train lower-level mission operations personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of classified material handling procedures.
  • Cross-train and qualify to operate multiple TCTS systems.
  • Complete all assigned training, including monthly Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) training and government-assigned training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College-level or formal training in computer science preferred.
  • Three years' experience in computer systems operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS and Office Suites (Word, Excel, etc.) and standard desktop applications.
  • Unix/Linux experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN preferred.
  • Knowledge of military tactical aircraft training systems.
  • Prior military experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Network+ or Security+ and Operating System certification.
  • Ability to obtain an interim secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated secret security clearance.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access government worksites.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet customer mission requirements.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
