Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to the electrical engineering team, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational objectives.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Industrialization (IB), and Advanced Technology Development (ATD) projects by allocating the necessary resources and facilitating problem-solving efforts.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, systems, hardware, software, supply chain, and manufacturing, to guarantee optimal product performance and seamless integration.
  • Establish and implement best practices and processes to boost team productivity and efficiency.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team, nurturing a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional development.
  • Conduct technical reviews, design evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the formulation of product roadmaps, identifying innovation opportunities and promoting the adoption of emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in RF technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device product development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project leadership.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., IEC, FDA, ISO).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding and mentoring technical teams.
  • Proven people management skills.

Desired Attributes

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7 years of relevant RF experience.
  • Design experience with phased arrays and Tx/Rx coils for MRI applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier and manufacturing interfaces.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to secure buy-in.
  • Proven LEAN methodology skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timelines, and quality outcomes.
