About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Operations, Lifestyle to join our team at Schulte Companies. As a key member of our corporate team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our lifestyle outdoors division, ensuring that our hotels and properties meet the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct operational oversight of a dedicated management platform of lifestyle outdoors division hotel locations.
  • Communicate and execute hotel brand(s) and strategy, driving a culture of exploration and attracting adventurers in our associates and guests.
  • Recruit and manage the training of regional corporate support team and property general managers.
  • Guide and oversee the preparation of property and corporate department budgets.
  • Provide effective people leadership of assigned hotels by attracting, motivating, developing, rewarding, and retaining top talent.
  • Set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
  • Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and report these results to the Executive Vice President(s) of Operations and COO.
  • Ensure a professional image at all times through appropriate business appearance and dress.
  • Follow and promote company policies and procedures and be able to effectively articulate and present the Company's vision and values.
  • Responsible for the overall Revenue, Sales, and Operational Performance of each asset in their region.
  • Promote Company's policies and philosophies to all General Managers. Ensure proper follow-up and follow-through on company deadlines and initiatives.
  • Consistently and proactively measure hotel performance (Sales, Revenue, Market Share, GSS, GOP, Accounts Receivable) to ensure hotel exceeds target goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring all hotels meet the Brand Guidelines for service, quality, training, and product. All hotels must pass annual or bi-annual inspections.
  • Conduct weekly calls focused on monitoring hotel performance and updating any general concerns.
  • Effectively monitor Accounts Receivable performance monthly to ensure company compliance by all hotels.
  • Conduct annual General Manager Performance Evaluations.
  • Conduct monthly P&L Reviews with each General Manager to ensure focus on areas of opportunity and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Review of Monthly Performance Reviews by each property.
  • Participate on Weekly Revenue Calls regarding Focus Assets or those not meeting RPI goals.
  • Work jointly with the Regional Revenue Manager and Regional Director of Sales in their region to ensure Sales, Marketing, and Revenue strategies are in line allowing us to achieve RPI goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of (10) years in progressive regional operations leadership role.
  • Leadership experience in lifestyle outdoors hotels operations required.
